Fireproofing
Spray-Applied Fireproofing is most often used to insulate metal and steel decking from the heat only found during a fire. The SFRM (Sprayed Fire-Resistive Material) thermally insulates the various structures sprayed with fireproofing, to keep them under the temperatures that would result in failure/damage. And while not its primary usage, sprayed fire-resistive material can also offer thermal insulation and acoustical treatment for large enough areas, where structures and steel/metal decking are exposed.
Prefabrication
Prefabrication allows for less travel to and from the construction site, which assists in reducing the carbon footprint. In addition, prefabrication offers a much safer work environment, as well as reducing the amount of waste produced, if said construction is being done in-house
